Vunilagi Bookclub is a community-focused literacy and learning organisation working with volunteers, children, families, schools and community partners.
Our purpose
Promoting reading, books and other literacy resources that help children develop the cognitive skills to read, write, learn and communicate with the world around them.
Accessibility
Every child deserves books and the chance to read, whatever their community's circumstances. A child's background should never decide whether they get to read.
Inclusivity
We choose books that reflect different cultures, languages and stories, so every child can see themselves in a story — and learn about someone else's.
Safe reading spaces
Every reading space is welcoming and safe. Every child is treated as precious, and safeguarded from harm.
Governance
Vunilagi Bookclub is a registered Fiji charitable trust (Charitable Trust Act 1945, incorporated December 2023). Further governance information and organisational reports will be published here as they're approved.
